We crafted a mold through 3D printing, using PLA and PETG. Subsequently, we filled it and subjected it to a 24-hour period in the dehydrator. The first notable observation was the partial degradation of the PLA-printed material, while the PETG showed no issues. After dismantling the external casing without any complications, we proceeded with the complete disassembly after 96 hours to prevent the formation of internal moisture and ensure proper drying.
After a week, we found that the interior had developed cracks (possibly attributed to the use of excessively large granules). To address this situation, we applied a technique similar to Kintsugi, the Japanese ceramic repair technique. Using a syringe and a spoon, we precisely filled the affected areas to ensure a homogeneous distribution of the material.
